Homcom
HomCom is a private-label brand of Aosom, an international e-commerce group focused on home and garden furniture at accessible prices. The range covers virtually every room: garden furniture, office chairs, wardrobes, beds, sideboards, coat racks, and specific items like dog kennels and children's furniture.
Characteristic of HomCom is the price-function balance: products are typically 30-50% below comparable brands like IKEA equivalents or design houses, with functional quality for households that don't invest in premium furniture. Materials vary from MDF and chipboard to solid wood and metal — depending on model and price. Assembly is self-done, with average assembly time of 30-90 minutes per item.
Productvraag compares HomCom furniture pieces at Dutch retailers. Because HomCom sells through multiple distributors, prices vary €10-40 between shops for identical models, and delivery costs (often €5-25 for large items) often determine which shop is most cost-effective.

Frequently asked questions about Homcom
What does HomCom sell?
Garden furniture (seating sets, parasols, hammocks), office chairs and desks, bedroom furniture (beds, wardrobes, bedside tables), living room furniture (sideboards, coffee tables, shoe racks), bathroom furniture, children's furniture, and pet accessories like dog houses. The range is broad and functional.
Is HomCom quality good?
For the price point acceptable — not comparable with solid oak brands, but functional for years of household use. Experiences vary per product line: garden furniture and wardrobes generally get positive reviews; cheaper MDF cabinets can deteriorate faster in humid spaces.
How easy is assembly?
Average 30-90 minutes per item, sometimes longer for large wardrobes or beds. Instructions are in Dutch, with numbered parts. For those who have never assembled IKEA furniture it's workable but requires patience; experienced people are quickly done.
What do HomCom furniture pieces cost?
Garden furniture sets: €150-500. Office chairs: €80-250. Wardrobes: €120-350. Beds: €150-400. Sideboards and coffee tables: €80-280. Comparable premium brands sit typically 50-100% higher in price.
Is HomCom delivered to homes in the Netherlands?
Yes, via Bol, Coolblue, Otto, Wehkamp, and specialist home furniture shops. Delivery is usually 3-7 days, with large items (wardrobe, bed frame) by appointment via two-person delivery. Delivery costs vary €5-50 depending on size and the specific shop.
