This iconic and often misquoted sentence from Casa Blanca seemed the best title of the new CD that Jean Louis and I created to honour some great composers of film music. Obviously, the first song had to be As Time Goes By and for the end we selected
Cinema Paradiso. Between these two masterpieces we invite you to join us on a sentimental journey along memorable films.
Among our guides along the road were such unforgettable phrases as "I'm gonna make
him an offer he can't refuse" (from The Godfather), "Toto, I've got a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore" (from The Wizard of Oz) or "Here's looking at you, kid" (from Casa Blanca). Thanks to the beautiful arrangements of Jean Louis and his magnificent Hollywood strings
it was an extraordinary pleasure to play the magic vibrandoneon. Once again, Guido Tononi, thanks for creating such a wonderful instrument.
We are very happy that again -as it is now a good tradition- we could rely on the artistry of Norman Perryman and Christine Simonis for cover and lay-out. Recording, mixing and mastering was done by Jean Louis and the manufacturing was in the capable hands of Replifact Media BV.
