Watch out for those Californians, though, they’ll give you a run for your money. The gameplay is surprisingly simple, and is very easy to get to grips with. Hit a ball here, hit a ball there. It’s simple, but highly addictive.

Also, the players have been motion-captured, improving even further on the realism of the title, and helping to make the game more fluid.

Beach Volleyball is a very simple game at heart, but that’s often preferable, rather than being lumbered with a giant manual and hours of training. This game focuses purely on fun and playability, and that’s worth more than any technical achievement.
